This video shows what can happen with uncontrolled environments and gives you an idea of why we have to constantly train the way we do.

Crews Kept Busy Throughout The Night

Posted by kelfire - on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 @ 21:59:05 MDT
Fire Related
Our crews were kept busy last night with two structure fires in the Rutland area.

The first fire in the Black Mountain area was reported by the occupants saying they could smell smoke coming from the attic area.  It turned out to be an electrical problem in the attic and was quickly controlled before spreading to the rest of the house.

The second fire occurred in the Felix Road area which had flames showing from the upper unit of the duplex.  Our crews quickly extinguished the fire and contained the damage to the roof, deck, and kitchen area.  Water damage was minimized to the lower unit as salvage tarps were laid out to protect valuables.

No injuries were reported.
